Based on the scripture in Ecclesiastes 3 "A Three fold cord is not easily broken". Triple cord takes three groups of people to work. Myself, My friends and fellow collaborators, and God who is always at the center. Because without God at the center the whole thing would fall apart.
WHAT INSPIRED TRIPLE CORD PRODUCTIONS?
When I was child I was constantly imagining new stories with my friends. We would create fantasy worlds and original characters who went on daring adventures to save the world! Over time these stories took on a new depth as we grew older, and we wanted to write stories that brought hope and light into this dark world. That showed our characters ups and downs and how they grew, made mistakes, and yet came out stronger on the other side of adversities. Triple Cord Productions is the accumulation of these stories.
WHAT IS AN AUDIO DRAMA?
Audio Drama is similar to a cinematic movie for the mind. Imagine old time radio with the artistry of a BBC film. Scenes come alive with the help of sound design, nuanced voice actors, and music composition.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS AND PRINCIPLES IN STORYTELLING?
To create Christ honoring stories that show good triumphing over evil, where light breaks through the darkness, stories that still touch on the dark places but show that it's worth it to keep fighting for what's right. We are a Christian company who will showcase Biblical truths sometimes quietly woven into the story and other times blatantly in your face. The stories told will be geared towards late teens, young adults, and adults. With a few stories that will be appropriate for younger listeners, but not geared towards them. Some of the characters in these stories will face hard circumstances and situations that may be triggering to people who are highly sensitive to fighting, character death, and emotional scenes but we strive to keep everything family friendly.
WHAT IS FAMILY FRIENDLY?
For us this means we won't be including sex scenes, strong/foul language, unnecessarily gory scenes, or glorifying evil.
WHAT STORIES WILL YOU CREATE?
It will be a collection of many genres. Mainly, Action/Adventure, Romance, Fantasy, and Superhero. Right now, our first major project is a collaboration with Michy Saccullo and our fictional world following the Superhero adventures of Eclipse and Sidekick. (Keep an eye out for updates on our social media) There are other stories that are currently being fleshed out as well. Other projects will include Micro Audiodramas that will feature a variety of genres. Currently, released is the 5 Minute short story "Appalachian Tales: Bonnie Kate" based on Tennessee History. Meet the Founder
Welcome, I'm Betsy Nicholson. The daughter of Mike and DeEtte Nicholson. I've grown up in the Mountains of Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. For a long time stories, music, and original characters have been a huge part of my life. God has always used the power of a story to impact my life and my walk. Whether it be through a song, a book, a movie, or an audio drama. In the Fall of 2022 I had the amazing opportunity to attend Lamplighter Masters Guild program for the school year. While there we had classes in scriptwriting and the wonderful experience of helping behind the scenes with Lamplighters Audio Drama Production of "Shipwrecked". It was through that production that God brought along connections that led me deeper into the works of audio drama. Since then I've been blessed and honored to work with "HeartMatters", "Eternal Future Productions", "Audio Drama Alliance", Glen Hascall, and more as a voice actress. I've made so many friends along the way, God is so good! Through the encouragement of my friends in and out of the world of audio drama, and with much prayer, I am now going on my next creative journey with Triple Cord Productions. My hope and goal is to tell the original stories God has used to impact my life and I hope He uses them to touch you too!
